After a career spanning the fashion world and actions sports I became a stay-at-home mom. After some identity struggle and soul searching, I learned to embrace my new full-time role by cultivating creative outlets for myself. A couple of which were starting my life & style blog called Happenstance in 2009, and guest posting on blogs like Tomboy Style. Through these outlets I experienced the value of connecting with an audience and the significance of social media to sustain that connection. As a result, creating a brand was something that would always stay in the back of my mind. But the questions were always what and when.

After some time it suddenly felt obvious that my brand would center around kids. My muses were after all right under my nose (sometimes literally). My background in fashion and retail (Prada, American Rag Cie.), our So Cal lifestyle, and growing up and working in and around the skate and surf industries, are the elements that would ultimately come to influence what is now Westerly Commons – a Southern California casual brand that celebrates kids and good vibes. So with the support of my amazing husband Eric (who designs skateboards by day and is our CEO by night), and my kids who inspire and make me laugh everyday, my brand has been realized. Welcome to Westerly Commons.
